Tweeds were commissioned by LLAOL in 2005 for the Master Plan study to accommodate expansion of the Airport up to 2030. Planning application documents completed in May 2006. The brief was extended to prepare three scenarios for growth up to 2015. Issues addressed included infrastructure supply requirements, passenger throughput demand, runway demand, aircraft stand demand and busy hour rates. London Luton Airport has a current throughput of approx. 10m passengers per annum.
