Lawrie Haynes appointed as WYG CEO

14/04/07 - John Purvis has made the following announcement to all staff this
morning:

" I am delighted to report that my successor as CEO of WYG will be
Lawrie Haynes, ex-Chief Executive of British Nuclear Group and a main
Board Director of BNFL plc. He was previously Chief Executive of the
Highways Agency.

His high level experience in the energy and transportation sectors is
particularly relevant to WYG's growth plans over the next three years.

Lawrie will be joining us on 18th June and will assume the position of
CEO from 1st July. I will be working closely with him to effect a smooth
transition of responsibilities up to my formal retirement in October".
